Alyssa went to E.A. in Thatcher for an Honor Orchestra concert on Wed. afternoon. They went down and practices with alot of other schools that night, then went back to there motel. The next day in the afternoon they were heading from Safford to Thatcher and the dang bus broke down. She called and said "Mom do you know where I am?" Thinking yeah you are supposed to be at the college practicing. "We're on the side of the road" WHAT!!!! So anyway Robyn Willis' Dad drove by and saw a Heber bus and turned around to see what was wrong. What a great guy he is. He lent the school his van to transport the instrument's and the kids to the college.
Well they get done with there concert and the bus still isn't fixed. The Thatcher bus people are trying to get it fixed. No one sent another bus to rescue our poor children! She then calls again around 8:30 P.M. on Wed. night. "Mom we're at the Institute building but we have to leave at 10:00P.M." So we keep in touch with her on the updates. Bus driver shows up and says that it was a major electrical problem. We don't know how long we will be to fix this. Rick is getting mad by now. They call the school in Heber and they stayed another night.
I HOPE I GET MY DAUGHTER BACK SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh how I miss the gold ole orchestra trips:) Poor girl!! Having to go to Thatcher is punishment enough, and then to have to stay longer...:)
ReplyDeleteOh I rememeber those days...at least Mr. Cheney wasn't driving and pumping his breaks the whole time, I love him but he was a terrible driver;) We were so car sick by the time we got to EA!! haha
ReplyDeleteHope she gets home soon...I sure wouldn't be too happy either!
So good to see you have a blog, finally!!
ReplyDeleteAutumn goes to Flagstaff in a couple of weeks for choir, I hope she has an easier time than Ayssa did. Happy blogging!
Your blog is great! Way to go. If an old-timer like me can do it, anyone can. . . Hope Alyssa made it safely home and isn't permanently scarred! Look on it as an adventure to tell the grandkids about!
