Happy 4th of July Birthday

Today is McKay's birthday, yes he was born on the 4th of July. I was a week over due and miserable. Started getting contractions here and there so called the Dr. and he said to come on up. Now remember it is the 4th of July. When we got into Showlow that is where it gets hairy. We had to take the back way to the hospital because of the parade. It took us over an hour to get from the Stake Center to McDonalds. Rick kept asking "are you alright, do I need to tell a cop that you are in labor." No, I'm o.k. my labor wasn't even bad. By the time we got to the hospital our Dr. was a nervous wreck. Where are the Turley's they need to be here. The nurses said "It's the 4th they will get here." Well they ended up inducing me and things started moving along and they called the Dr. to run up I was close. He gets there I'm in sooooo much pain by now and the epidural didn't work. Dr. Coss was complaining that he had just put stuff on the grill for a BBQ and had to come deliver my baby. (OH SO SAD :)) Anyway, I started pushing and no baby would come they did everything they could. Found out there was a cord. So they tried to twist McKay around and that didn't work. Wendy thank goodness was there told Dr. Coss to call the ER. No let's try something else. I'm hurting worse by now. Well McKay's heart beat went so low that everyone is freaking out. They finally call and get me to the ER for and emergency C-Section. I'm thinking he's not going to be o.k. Finally get in there and they tried knocking me out and I said Rick has to be in here in case something is wrong. Well Rick finally got in the room and McKay came out not breathing. I'm am FREAKING out now. Wendy yells to me that they didn't want him to breath because he pooped in the womb and they needed to suck his lungs out. Well, now I have a "13" year old boy. Holy cow I have 2 teenagers now. What a crazy life I have.
McKay growing up was a quiet, and sweet little guy. He loves to build things and works at it until he can get it done. Always liked legos and things like that to build something neat. Now he is building a tree house in my backyard. He's a good boy. Glad that he made it through the crazy delivery. Happy Birthday to you on the 4th of July.
