Track

Yes track has begun for Jr. High. Barr was so excited for it to start. Then you get to the track meet not knowing what's going on the hurry up and wait game. He needs to just relax and enjoy (which he is). It was just their first track meet.

Barr threw the shot put and ran the 400 meter dash. He has been out running alot and loves it. He couldn't wait until track started. I think he was the 1st one to sign up :). For a 5th grader he did really well. He threw the shot put 18 feet. Which he actually threw farther at home but I think he was nervous.

McKay is doing sooooo much better in everything this year. He threw the shot, ran the 400 meter and did the long jump. Funny thing, when they got to the track meet Jill Maner had put him at the long jump and he had never practiced there. She felt bad but McKay did it for her :). He was very nervous!! He threw the shot 30' 7 3/4" which is good but he has thrown farther than that. It is the 1st track meet jitters.

My boys did very good I think and I'm a proud mom! :)
