Alyssa & McKay both had a tournament in the valley the weekend before Spring Break started. The boys started on Thurs. night & girls started on Fri.
Both teams took 1st place!!
We are in a bit of a pickle for this tournament. Alyssa had a game in St. Johns on Thurs. night so we decided since she is a Senior we will support her 1st. Well, we headed down on Friday early to catch some of McKay's game. Oh did I mention this is the Salt River Tournament & they had the girls starting in Phoenix UHG!! Anyway we went to part of McKay's 2nd game but he didn't get to play when we were there.
Then we ventured to South Phoenix to watch Alyssa. They played 2 games there, Phoenix Christian & Superior. Both were a win.
There was this umpire that was amazingly funny! Rick called him Ben Stiller. Robbi would say that he put his uniform on and said "Man I make this look good!!"
Later that night we went into Mesa for the girls last game of the night @ Salt River High.
Boys won both all 3 of there games so far & went to the ASU vs. UCLA Baseball game that night.
Girls had 1 more game to play that night against Coolidge. That was one of the funnest games to watch. We lost 4-5. Friday was a day to seat us for the actual tournament the next day.
Guess what???? We have to play Coolidge again!! & the boys are playing at the same complex but 15 minutes later than the girls started. So me and Robyn kept each other up through texting.
The girls pulled off a win against Coolidge!!!! Then they had to turn around & play some Cristian school can't remember the name & beat them. Went right into the Championship round with only 15 minute breaks in between. Alyssa pitched 5 of the 6 games and did amazing!!
Boys played San Carlos & were behind 3-1 and came back to win & go for the Championship round also.
Way to go Mustangs!!!

That's crap! Seeing me was the highlight and I'm not even mentioned?!
