Barr came home from wrestling practice on Monday from wrestling practice and said his hand was hurting so bad.
During practice he was working with Tyrell Pritchard. Barr landed on his hand and bent his 2 middle fingers all the way back.
So we said, "Just ice it and put heat on it, you will be fine to go to districts on Saturday (which is big for Barr this year who has done an amazing job in wrestling).
Well he keeps complaining we tell him to suck it up (yes we are bad parents). We see Marshall at the Basketball games on Tuesday night and he said it looked sprained to him. By now his hand is swollen & turning green.
Wednesday, we had a wrestling match against Payson & SJ. My friend Nicole didn't come but her husband did. She text me and said Shane saw Barr and thinks it's broken.
Me and Alyssa run down to see Barr and his hand is way swollen and the middle finger is so green and swollen.
Off to the Dr. on Thurs. Yep it's broken :( Done with wrestling wondering if he needs it casted or what they are going to do. They called it a spiral fracture cause of the way it broke.
Well no cast for this kid thank goodness for mom but he was a little bummed. He said all the girls were lining up to sign that cast. So when he got just a splint he told Rick "maybe I'll just take a card and the girls can sign that!!" hahaha
Side not this poor kid was a little heart broken about wrestling. He could have taken the whole thing at districts this year if this didn't happen. He stepped up and looked like a real wrestler this year. He had been lifting weights, running and just getting ready for the season. So sorry Barr you did good this year sorry for this!
