The BIG Hunt

Rick finally got drawn for an Antelope tag. The last time he got drawn was his Jr. Year in HS. He had sooooo many bonus points and was just disgusted every year that he didn't get drawn. Finally this is his year. He got drawn for the 3C rifle tag. WOW was he excited, well kind of. There are not that many antelope in this area. He has been going out and looking for the past few months. He has seen some but just little ones. He wants a good one, you don't get drawn that much. He went out on Thurs. night and missed McKay's game to see if he could find a big one before the big day on Friday. He wasn't too sure but really excited to just get to go hunt. He got up at 4:00 A.M. and headed out to meet up with his dad and Kayce. Well, I headed into Snowflake that morning thinking that I won't see Rick all day long so I went coupon shopping. I went by my Mother-in-laws and she hadn't heard anything. We are just hoping he gets one to say he got one. Well, I went and did my thing and I am on my way home and get a phone call, thinking he's going to come home because it is the middle of the day. "Hey, what are you up to?" Just heading home. "Well, I got him!!!!!!" What? Already? No way. "HE'S A DANDY" as Rick would say. That means he's a great buck and we are hanging him on the wall. So, Rick forgot the dang camera so I head home to get the camera and drop grocery's off and head back with the camera. If you don't know hunters they take 90 pictures of this dead ugly thing. It is hilarious how men gripe about family pictures but will pose all day long with a dead animal. Well, I'm excited for him that he got it and on the 1st day no less. It is a little bigger that his other one that is hanging in my house. Guess I'll have another antelope in my home. Because Rick says "He's a DANDY!!!"
