Orchestra Regionals

Before I start about Regionals I have to tell why she looks so goofy in her boots. She LOVES her boots. So Alyssa kept texting us to see where we were on our way. Well we walk into the building and here comes this GOOFY girl wearing a nice dress and those boots.

Alyssa made regionals for the 3rd year in a row. We are so proud of her accomplishments and how she has gotten so much better on the violin.

These kids went to Snowflake to try out for regional a couple of weeks ago. Alyssa and the Mogollon orchestra did solos and both of them got Superiors. Mr. Cheney had told Alyssa that the judge wrote on Alyssa's paper that she did extremely well and has potential on the violin. That just made Alyssa so excited, the judges were really tough this year.

Anyway, they went to Round Valley for 2 days and practiced for the whole 2 days. The conductor is originally from Columbia and now is the conductor @ Eastern Arizona College. He has been the conductor for Regional since Alyssa was in 8th grade. She loves him and he is a great teacher.

Alyssa made 3rd chair in 2nd Violins. She took 6th place over all which is Awesome!! These kids played so good for only getting the music the day they get there and having 2 days to learn it. The music was so good to listen to. Good job to all!!!
