Regionals

Mogollon Mustang 1A North Region CHAMPS!!

Regionals this year were in Ash Fork. The first game was against Seligman. WOW this was an intense game. We ended up winning 10-8. We were tied the whole entire game. Rick was sitting in between me and Robbi Hancock, after he said "I feel like a punching bag & have blood blisters on my shoulders!" I would grab one arm & Robbi would punch the other. It was so intense McKay was on the bottom row of the benches & came up to the top with us & demanded that someone move cause he was freaking out over this game! After the game we find out that this was Seligman's best game ever and the one game they worked so hard at. So very proud of our girls how they pulled out a win!!

Next day was the BIG day!! We played Jo City! We were nervous for this game but these girls came to play this game. They Played so well this time. 1st inning Carly S. made the 1st run in. Then we loaded the bases and Bethany Stephens gets up to bat (who usually bunts or slaps) & hits a GRAND SLAM!!!! I've never yelled so loud!! We stayed ahead the whole entire game. That 1st inning just shook Jo City up!! Alyssa almost got another home run. It hit the top of the fence & came down into the field. Then Lisa Hancock hit this pole and they would not let her have that home run. The Seligman coach was sitting by us & was yelling @ the Umps that she had hit a homer. Well, they said she didn't, Dangit!!! We pulled this off & won the 1A North Regionals. Mogollon hasn't beat Jo City in a long time. So this was the best day ever!!!!
