It has taken me a long time to figure out what I would like to say about this season of Softball & Baseball.
1st of all I think our teams did pretty good considering we had to play some 3A tough Schools this year that COUNTED!!
Just so frustrating to these kids knowing that if we don't start winning some games we will not go to state this year.
These girls played in 2 tournaments this year. One in Payson & one in the Valley. They did really good in the Payson tournament beat some pretty good schools and came close to beating a 3A school.
In the tournament in the valley we took 1st place. We played 1 really tough school and still came out Champs!!
Well this year AIA decided that they would do power points (WHAT CRAP!!!) Both our girls and boys didn't even get to go to state this year. There were some pretty crappy schools there at state this year that we just killed in regular season and past seasons! Of course they didn't go far but I know that our girls could have stood a chance in there. It ended up 2- 2A shcools for Championship round which is so not right!
Anyway I just want to say how proud I am of Alyssa & McKay playing their hearts out. Yes it was discouraging to play bigger schools but we made it through. Sorry we didn't get to go to state :(
McKay looked so dang cute in his uniform!! :) He played 1st, 3rd, & outfield. For not playing since he was younger in little league he did really well. Suber would always take him to the side and coach him and teach him things!
Our boys took 1st place at the tournament that our girls took 1st in also. So proud of these 2 teams!!
