McKay turned the big "18" Yowza!!! I can't believe what a great young man he has turned out to be!! Poor kid being born on a holiday doesn't get to do much. We had to clean the church early that morning & that made him cranky but he was a good sport about it. Later that day we got to sign a firework for Kurt & then he was in the Youth for America program which was really good. So glad that McKay is in our family & sorry he is born on a holiday but that's how it goes sometimes :) But we sure love this kid!!
The Beaufeaux family had called me the week before the 4th to ask if we would like to sign a fireworks for Kurt. I was so very touched that they would think of us. It turned out that Alyssa & Cache were coming for the 4th anyway. So they were in Show Low & came out to sign the firework. It was a great tribute to him & was a great experience for our family.
My boys were in the Youth for America program on the night of the 4th. It was a great program that these kids have been practicing forever on. Barr had a speaking part & McKay had a singing part with 5 other people that was really good. The songs were really good. Heck the whole program was great!! My boys were such good sports & went every Sunday for the last few months to practice. Good job guys I'm proud of you :)
This is the fireworks that was shot in Kurt's honor!! It was a very emotional night to see that in the sky. I know that Alyssa & Cache will be with there son again one day & will be able to raise him. I love my little grandson & can't wait to meet him someday :)
Sure glad your boys were in the program...you have great kids!! Glad that Kurt got his own firework!! We sure love the Turley Family!!
