Last week was the last home football game for McKay. It is also the 2nd round of playoffs. It was a very emotional night & day for me knowing it's almost over (football that it) McKay LOVES football more than anything. I was so excited that I got the biggest hug from him. He's a great kid!!
Well, the game was a nail biter the 1st half. We were down & McKay thought it was it for him. He was so emotional at half time. Well, these boys pulled out a huge win & now off to the semis!!
We will play Pima for Semi Championship round. I am just a ball of nerves. I know that what ever the out come that things will be fine. I just want a championship for this boy!!
The other day I taught seminary & it was the story of Ezra Thayre how he didn't want to go on a mission & repented & decided to go. Well I was getting ready for this lesson & came across Elder Worthlin's talk "Come what may & love it" I truly love this talk. It went perfect for the end of my lesson & for this weekend. What ever happens at the Pima game I just know that "come what may & love it" I will have to just go on with things. I know my boys will be fine too it's just so hard that they have worked so hard for this football season.
I am truly proud of McKay & Barr for they way they play hard & work hard at everything to do with football. Go get 'em boys!!
