The Mighty Mustangs of Mogollon High did it!!
They won STATE!!!
Beating Bagdad!
Mogollon 14
Bagdad 8

What a season this has been.  These boys went undefeated.  I heard that was the 1st time to take state undefeated.  That is an awesome way to end a season.

I have been a nervous wreck for the...well all season long.  I have a Senior McKay & a Sophomore Barr.  It's sad to know that I won't see McKay on the Mustang field again but glad he ended it well.  Barr I get to watch 2 more years.  So ya I've been a ball of nerves this whole season, saying please don't get hurt so you can finish, or please let's take state this year!!
I am so very grateful for these 2 boys of mine being able to play side by side on some plays even.  It brought tears to our eyes seeing them together out there.  McKay would give Barr pep talks all the time or pointers which was so touching.  We had a few really tough games this season.  1st was Gilbert Christian where I was in the stands screaming like usual during that game which of course we won.  Then everyone kept saying Ray was going to be a tough game.  I was a nervous wreck all the way to that game.  We beat them bad & Ray didn't even score on us.  Then the 2nd round of Playoffs we were trailing at half to Valley Union which we came back & got them.  Then off to the Semis against Pima again for the 2nd year in a row.  That was a stressful game also but we beat them & on to State!!
I'm so very proud of all the boys on this team how they all got along & helped each other out.  I love the team work they had to pull of a Championship!!
McKay was one of the captains this year & was so very proud of him & his hard work getting boys to the weight room to get into shape.
Barr I'm also so proud of.  He was way nervous the week before Pima & made himself a little sick a few days but Rick talked to him & after the 1st few plays of that game he calmed way down & felt better going to the state game.

McKay is #35 at the far left & Barr #75 far right as they were announced in at the beginning of the game.

Love how I got the score with them in the picture

 Captains!!
The family!!  Missing Alyssa & Cache
along with Helen & Elena (We missed you all)

Aren't cousins awesome to get to play together!!
So this is Baylend Stephens.  He is one of my many favorites at the Seminary.  He tries to scare me all the time. (Notice his size??  he isn't quiet coming down the hall, so he started crawling to scare me hahaha)
McKay's poor cleats.  They broke in half before Semis so he had to tape them up!
McKay & Jessica.  They get pictures after football games.  She is the sweetest girl besides my Bridget below!!  Love these girls
Barr & Bridgett have to get a picture after his football games & her volleyball games.  So fun that these boys have such fun friends!!

These are just random pictures from the season of McKay & Barr

After the Pima game, They didn't look like they would let us on the field so the boys had to come up to us at the fence & we met them back by the bus after game.  The picture with Rick was a touching picture (well let me explain)  McKay went up to Rick & they just hugged for the longest time.  Well, I'm trying to get my camera on my phone to work & they stopped! Dangit.  Lori Nelson comes running up to me Corie that made me cry you need to make them do that again.  Well, the picture of them is what I ended up with!

Champions of Mogollon High!!
So proud of these Mustangs!!
Love you both McKay & Barr
