Alyssa got her letter last night at the spring sports banquet. The coach said that she really needs to work and get ready for next year. They told me and Rick that she has alot of potential for a Freshman. She really needs to work hard over the summer and pitch, pitch, pitch. She worked really hard for the team this season. We had our ups and downs with softball. She really proved herself in the Winslow tournament where we took 7th place out of 16 teams. Mogollon and Jo City were the only 1A teams there. She pitched soooo dang good there. Our Senior after the tournamanet was back off the injured list and back to pitching so Alyssa didn't get to pitch much. That is alright though she got to pitch in the JV games alot though. A coach from Camp Verde came up to her and said "Way to pitch Sophmore" Um I'm a Freshman. They were so shocked. She does intimidate everyone with her size until they see her throw the ball. We are proud of her and next year will be our year.
Here she is lining up at the first game of the State Playoffs #6. She was sooo excited to be there. We lost in the Semi-Finals to Valley Union by 1 dang point. We should have won that game. We had lots of errors in the 1st inning but came back but not good enough :( We'll get it next year. GO MUSTANGS!!!!
