Mustang Softball

WOO-HOO!!!!! The softball team made it to the State Semi-Finals. They played so hard and good this weekend. Friday night they played Gila-Bend, what a nail biter of a game. We pulled it out and won (we think) 8-2. (It was really hot and miserable bear with me. On Sat. we played in the afternoon and I got a little bit of heat stroke). Then on Saturday they played Bagdad. Another nail biter, & bad calls by the refs. We pulled it out in 8 innings 8-2 again. The girls played amazing these 2 games. Alyssa didn't get to play but we are o.k. with it. It is State and she is a Freshman. The experience of being there was just awesome for her. She enjoyed herself so much. Next year will be her year. She is a great pitcher. We told her that she needed to just soak in the atmosphere. She did pitch ALOT in the Winslow tourn. and she pitched SOOOOO good. I'm excited to watch these girls next week. I hope they play just sooo awesome like they did this weekend. Next Friday they play Valley Union. Good Luck Mustangs!
