What a Girl!!!

Can i just start by saying what an amazing young lady Carissa is. She is one of Alyssa's best friends. What a sweet heart she is and a great example to my boys and Alyssa.

Well, one night Alyssa, Carissa and Lisa Hancock were at Lisa's house and Carissa said she wanted to get baptized. She told J.T. Slade that she wanted to have him baptize her to. When Alyssa came home to tell us we were so very excited for her. Carissa started taking the lessons at Lisa's house. Alyssa and myself were never able to make any of the lessons with practices and schedules. It got closer to Carissa getting baptised, she was getting so nervous. Not just to get baptised but to tell her family. Alyssa came over to the seminary to eat lunch with me one day and said that Carissa was crying and really nervous about telling her family. When Carissa's class came she came and talked to me. I told her that the stress is over she got permission from her parents. She was worried about extended family. She has such good friends that helped her through it and gave her the comfort she needed.

One day Alyssa gets a call from Carissa and asked if I would say the opening prayer. Wow, I was so excited and nervous at the same time. At her baptism there were so many people that they moved into the chapel. It was an amazing baptism. So very proud of you Carissa, and for being so good to my family. We are so very proud of you!!!
