Football season for Jr. High is officially over. They had a pretty tough season this year. We are such a small school and play some pretty big schools (3A). We keep telling McKay when you're in High School it will be different. They did play really good though!!! They did beat Jo City so that is a BIG PLUS!!!
It was a fun year for us as parents to watch our 2 boys get to be on the same team. McKay just played his whole heart out. He got to play defense and offense. He was a 2 back. Barr started as a nose guard the first few games then Coach started rotating some other boys in. Toward the end he played the 4th quarter. For Barr that is GREAT! McKay didn't even get to play in 6th grade that much, and now he's amazing.
One thing at one game Barr came in to play and he missed the block so McKay grabbed him and gave him a talk. I wasn't too sure how that was going to go over. But Barr listened and they didn't have problems.
I can't wait for next years season. McKay will be playing for the Mogollon Mustang High School team. Barr will get to help the Jr. High out again!!! Good job to my 2 AWESOME boys!!! So very proud of how you both played.
