Basketball & Wrestling

Basketball season was once upon us again.  McKay did a great job playing this year.  I wasn't too happy with how the coach played him (or should i say not played him)  McKay worked hard played hard but the coach just didn't see it that way.  Ya i'm his mom but I would hear people in the stands saying "why don't they leave that Turley kid in the game?"  This is just my opinion it's my blog so i'll just vent on here :)  I went to almost every game this season.  Went to both Tourneys to support this boy.  Didn't make it to state this year, regional's were a little different.  We had 2A schools in our region & you had to win your region to go to State.  We played Ray in Miami & beat them which was a great game then we had to play SJ in Showlow which was a horrible game.  McKay was put in for less that 3 minutes total the whole game.  When he was in he got us back up on the board but got taken out.  Oh well, life goes on & there are more important things in life.  Well, try telling that to a teenager haha.  Glad the season is OVER

 Barr went out for wrestling this year.  He hates basketball.  In jr high he broke his hand at the end of wrestling & said "YES I don't have to play basketball!!"  Dork!!  He did really good for a timid freshman.  He didn't make Varsity. He just couldn't beat anyone in a weight class.  I was sure proud of him though.  Going to all the practices & matches knowing he was 2nd string.  But Talking to my friend who her husband is a wrestling coach said that when Barr get's it in his head everyone needs to watch out.  The few wrestling matches I saw of him I was a very proud mom!!  I didn't make it to too many because I never knew if he would wrestle or not.  I will be a better mom & go next year :)  Good Luck To my boys :)
