Texas bound!!

For Spring break we headed to Texas!!  It has been since December since we had seen Alyssa & Cache.  What is awesome is that the boys really wanted to go more than us.  We begged & begged Rick so I finally told him that me & the boys will just go by ourselves.  Well, he ended up going with us.  We took off on Friday & came back the next Wednesday.  We had a great time there!!

 We spent the 1st day with me & Alyssa went to all the cute little shops & of course thrift stores.  They aren't very nice at their thrift stores haha the guy was kind of rude to us about a bed frame oh well.  Cache took the guys to Canadian to see some hunting land. Ya not my thing.  We went to a fun Ice-cream place the 1st night then to an awesome steak house the next night.  Ran into some of their friends they have met in Pampa.  Super sweet couple.  Sunday was a good day we got to check out the ward, plus we got to listen to Alyssa & Cache's talk in church.  Alyssa just told her ward of what had happened with her baby & of course I bawled all the way through the talk.  Anyway Alyssa had been telling my boys about some people in their ward.  Let's just say these people are golden for even wanting to go to an LDS church when there are Baptist churches the size of temples on every corner.  Well, they start to pick the people out.  There is a guy that is a fidget so to keep him going he makes key chains during sacrament also has a Dr. Pepper chained to his belt haha Long hair in a pony.  Then there was a guy who is just amazing who had been on so many drugs when younger that he had to have his tongue cut out.  Alyssa & Cache have been learning sign language with him.  He was so neat.  We met him in the Sunday School class.  They did there 5th Sunday that day cause the Bishop would be gone the next week.  WOWEEEE  I though it was just our ward but no it is in other wards when people ask THEE dumbest questions!!! haha  Rick just laughed & laughed during this discussion. Rick would say "Oh that poor Bishop" haha  People would raise their hands and ask such dumb off the wall questions.  Anyway we drove around & saw some amazing land & houses. 
We went to Amarillo one day to see what it was all about.  It was so windy but good to go see it.  The  rest of the week just relaxed or went and saw the historic buildings.  There are some neat buildings there.
When we were getting into Texas it reminded me of the movie Footloose with the old silos.  What a neat little town they have!!

 So when we were coming into Amarillo we saw this Fuzzy Butts sign.  Rick would only slow down for me to take a picture wouldn't let us get a picture with everyone.  Well, honestly know one wanted to be in the picture hahaha

So this night we thought the dogs were in the garage with the door SHUT!!  Well, we get back & they were both in the window on top of the couch waiting for us to come home.  Alyssa came screaming down the hall at Cougar (her dog)  & of course he ran & went to his time out (which is hilarious that he knows he is in trouble).  The dogs got out & Cougar found a bottle of lotion & destroyed it all over Alyssa's bed!!  Scooter of course didn't do anything :)

One other story.  Me & Alyssa were getting ready to go see all the cute shops & all of a sudden this eary siren goes off & I freaked out!!! What in the heck is that I yelled.  Lots of laughing from way down the hall, "Oh wait it goes to Spanish in a second.  They get these warnings every Saturday at noon.  Well, hello you could have told me!!

We had a great time seeing her cute town, ward & of course them & there super cute house!!
